Also, The Plain Dealer has learned that President Mark Shapiro and GM Chris Antonetti will be back next year in their respective jobs.

The top managers on the market (think Francona) are either going to want more money than we're going to be willing to spend, or will have the option to go to a less dysfunctional and less cheap organization. Plus, the team has to be terrified about attendance absolutely cratering next season.

These factors would seem to leave Sandy as the only choice.

Sandy as manager. Omar as bench coach. Albert as hitting coach. Lofton and Thome - base coaches. Orel as pitching coach. It's 1995 all over again - lol!
