How about if I said the No. 7 spot in the bouncing ball lottery in 2018.

I wasn't being a smart alec, I don't follow the NBA closely. I just ask cause I looked at a mock draft that had us at 7 yesterday too. Just wondering if that is set, or just where we are assumed to be after the balls.

Cause the Cavs have had some luck on lottery nights before. And Nick will be out of the hospital and ready to wear his bow tie before lottery night.

By the way, the mock had several centers going early in the draft. And PG Trae Young going 8th right after Cavs pick. Any would really help us.

I'd make dumping Thompson and his salary a priority this offseason. He's become damn near worthless.

By the way, Jose Calderon has been ruled out tonight.

I don't follow the NBA closely either, rely on my son as my source of information. I have not heard that the lottery has been eliminated. I do know that teams are tanking at record pace and with great agility this year.

Ok the lottery has NOT been eliminated.

Mock drafts ordinarily list in order of odds. So if the standings stay where they are, the Nets have the 7th worst record which gives the Cavs odds at the 7th slot.

Could be better or worse depending on if Dan Gilbert's son picks the right balls.

Back to Kyrie - hard to convince anyone that this knee thing isn't going to be a long term issue.

So the long term value of Kyrie is now certainly at least open to question.

I fully expect Nick Gilbert to be recovered from his surgery enough to be at the lottery sporting his bow tie and bringing us luck.

Top 5, book it.

I can't believe this one - I turned it off it was so ugly:

LeBron James orchestrates massive 4th quarter comeback vs. Wizards

The Cavaliers trailed by 17 points midway through the fourth quarter. Then LeBron led the way like he always does.

With 7:47 left in the fourth quarter and the Cavaliers down big, LeBron James checked back into the ball game. He had 20 points and 11 assists at that point. The feeling was he’d carry Cleveland across the finish line like he’d done so many times in his 15-year career, even if his team was down 17.

Carry them across the finish line he did. LeBron was a human bulldozing machine in the fourth quarter, ramming through every defender the Wizards threw at him down the stretch.

James orchestrated a 10-0 run as part of a larger 29-11 run, eventually knotting the game up at 110 apiece. In one incredible sequence, he darted up court then spun right off Markieff Morris to bring the Cavaliers within six. It was clear after that basket nothing was going to stop James from completing his comeback against the Wizards.

LeBron finished the game with 33 points on 12-of-20 shooting, along with 14 assists and nine rebounds. The Cavaliers trailed by as many as 17 points down when he checked back in midway through the fourth quarter. It didn’t matter.

The Cavaliers shot 73 percent in the fourth quarter in their massive comeback Thursday night. They even found a way to erase their awful defensive effort by holding the Wizards to just seven points in the last 5:16.

Cleveland’s win marked their fifth straight and gives a team that’s struggled all season long a huge confidence boost with just three games remaining in the regular season. If they can play defense in the playoffs the same way they played against the Wizards in the final five minutes, there’s no reason LeBron can’t carry Cleveland to the promised land once again.

I watched it all, but only because I cheated. I started the evening off watching the Buckeyes Frozen Four game, and then the Blue Jackets game. Turning between the two games on DVR. By the time I finished those two games and got to around halftime of the Cavs I saw the final score and that we won.

I have to admit, when we fell down by 17 I thought, was that score right??

But glad I stuck with it. Quite a comeback win. LeBron was great but they also finally decided to start playing defense in the 4th.

The invention of the DVR is a God send. You can watch two games - fast-forwarding through commercials and half-time - in the time it normally takes one.

Love DVRing games - commercials are quickly fading from my life.

Like you said - even if I am only 10 minutes behind on a game I can fast forward and keep it moving. Had tennis, basketball and baseball games going with only one of them live.

Oh yeah, and with the new Genie system on DirecTV you can record 5 things at once now. Used to you could only record 2. Don't need it very often but it does come in handy once in a great while, like the other day.

Yep I use the same.

Yesterday I taped the tennis, and Masters golf. And watched other stuff live. Switched back and forth.

Geek alert! :geek:
