Seriously though, without Sale the Tribe's pitching is just better. And with Hand/Cimber and Andrew Miller back, their bullpen is back to being a weapon.

Last night, even the bottom of the order hit too! So it's all clicking these first 2 games. Melky and Allen round out this team if they can continue.

Like HB said, Melky has to come out for defense, but the guy has hit for years. Back of the baseball card baby!

Even better he hits well as a righty hitter.

In fairness to Boston - obviously Chris Sale might have one that first game matchup.

But without him (and arguably even with him) the Indians starters are much better and deeper. And remember, Bauer is out for us.

Yesterday TV guys said Encarnacion would be activated Thursday, but he was activated today.

Instead of Guyer it was Davis that was placed on a 10 day DL to make room.

This is perfect, because by the time Davis returns it will be September, and at that time rosters can expand. So Yandy gets to stick around rest of year. Good stuff from front office on that one.

Hmm, maybe EE was compensating for that July HBP on his hand after all.

As usual, wish they had DL'd him long ago when it was still bothering him and caused him to aggravate that triceps.

Look the other way as Plutko finally imploded after a good beginning.

Have to settle for 2 out of 4 at Fenway, not bad. And Bauer would have started that last game.

Another consolation was seeing Tomlin get 3 innings of work and allow only the 1 run. Pretty big improvement for that guy and sucked up 3 innings to save the rest of the pen.

Yeah - say...shoulder tendinitis. Couldn't be more undetectable than that.

Means "my shoulder is sore from pitching". Probably fit every professional pitcher.
