Allen is stealing more prolifically than he did in Columbus; good coaching I assume is helping

Getting at least 1 outfielder during the August waiver period is pretty much a no doubter. Should be interesting.
Again, remember Jay Bruce was an August pick up.
McCutcheon would be a similar type addition.

I think I'd prefer one less.

The only bad thing about McCutcheon, he has to pass though waivers in the NL before the AL. We have the priority among all the AL contenders. But it is doubtful he would make it past all the NL contenders without someone placing a claim.

Clevinger 6 solid innings, Miller, Otero and Cimber finish up. Miller was throwing 94 and 95.
Clev and Carrasco and Kluber make a very solid playoff rotation but if Bauer were in there too it would be the best in the business. The 4 of them rate among the top 9 in ERA and plenty of other good stuff, too.

Baseball parity......we go from playing a team that's 50 games under 500 to one that's 50 games over 500.

Just got off the phone with my mother, who is a misguided Red Sox fan. She says Sale is on the DL with shoulder inflamation. So there's that.

That's his second DL stay. He seems a sure thing for the Cy Young, but his time away could cost him. Bauer is probably screaming even louder since he's lost the opportunity to pull ahead for the Cy

It's about time the Indians got some really testing for the playoffs

Well, if there is anything we have learned through the years it is that once the playoffs start it is a whole new ballgame. Our '95 Indians got dominated by a great pitching staff. The Mariners team that won 116 games did nothing.
If we get Bauer back healthy and Miller & Allen keep improving as they have, rounding back into form. I have to think we will be a tough out in a 5 or 7 game series. Give us as a chance as anybody.
Funny, I worry about Houston more in a playoff series than I do Boston, yet they are heading in opposite directions. But that's my gut feeling. Houston's pitching staff is pretty scary in a series. Boston's does not keep me up at night. But anything can happen, we'll see.

Who is on Oakland?? They're roaring up to the top without anything like a lineup or rotation comparable to the other top AL teams.

Andre Knott just said since August 12th Yandy Diaz has hit 7 balls with exit velocities over 100 MPH. That is the most of any Indian player in that time frame.
I know we all want to see some of those line drives start getting up and over the fence but good to see him spraying hard hit line drives to all fields since his latest call up.
