Though the Indians never made Josh Willingham a former proposal, they indicated that they were willing to offer a two-year deal in the $15MM range, according to MLB.com’s Jordan Bastian (Twitter links). Willingham has agreed to terms with the Twins, but GM Chris Antonetti says the Indians are still considering external options.

I don't mind the Pie and Lopez deals. I consider both an upgrade. Shows how bad our farm system really is if you subtract pitchers from the formula.

So, is "we'll spend when the time is right" now officially inoperative?

How can the time be right for the 63-99 Twins to be in the free agent market, and not the Indians, who less than 6 months ago traded their best prospect because they figured they were ready to win now?

Honeymoon over for Antonetti.

Cunningham's stats look quite good until he reached AAA. At least he's from Alaska; can't remember any Cleveland players other than Trajan Langdon from Alaska and he was a major success for the Cavs.

Doesn't look good enough to waste a 40-man roster spot on, unless they want to clear away Thomas Neal who looks no better.
