We went 1-7 with runners in scoring position tonight. That's what happens when you have guys hitting 210, 220, 230 throughout the lineup. Meanwhile Yandy and Naquin both had a hit and a walk apiece tonight in Columbus. Hitting .343 and .320 respectively.

I'm sure we will see Urshela starting at 3rd tomorrow instead of Yandy. Him and his .208 batting average.

A typical game with the standard 3 components for the Tribe this month:

1. Lousy hitting with men in scoring position
2. Some one pulls up lame
3. Reliever allows game-winning home run.

I'd like to see the combined stats for the bullpen since the All Star game. Actually I wouldn't like to see them; they are abysmal.

Civ .. the Indians sent out this tweet just before the game last night....

Last year's 'pen was great. This year? Even better.

Through 111 games:
'16: 3.71 ERA, 23-33 saves
'17: 2.98, 23-31 (3rd-best save % in MLB)

.

I bet that guy wanted to crawl in a hole.

I add the totals for all our relievers for post All-Star game as follows:

68 2/3 Innings
71 hits
15 walks
64 strikeouts
9 homers
28 earned runs [31 total]
ERA 3.67

And I'd assert that the actual performance is worse than that because for example McAllister has allowed only two runs in 10 innings, which just so happened to be two game winning home runs.
And the "big three" of Allen and Miller and Shaw combine for this unimpressive stats line
33 innings
33 hits
19 runs, 17 earned
4 homers
9 walks
28 strikeouts
4.64 ERA

I didn't sum up the win/loss for the bullpen since the All Star game but it's been horrendous
