Agree Austin Jackson's at bat was amazing. Saved that game!!

He has been an amazing pickup this season.

Front office has done a good job with the part-time old guy pickups in recent seasons, with Jackson as this year's prominent name. Used to specialize in guys who had lost it, now they're being more selective.

Bauer looks crisp early.

With you there civ. Jackson though was considered damaged good, hence the cheap pickup. Boy, couple of those years with Detroit he was quite the stud.

I was trying to recall the names of those retreads we used to go in for, I can think of Brady Anderson, someone Murphy, Jordan Michaels [first name sounds wrong], that awful 1b Casey Kotchman or something like that.

So I return from a business absence to find Brandon Guyer pinch hitting with the bases loaded and the Indians still up by one. The only thing I can hope for is that he -- as usual -- is hit by a pitch.

That would have been 8 days ago, when he allowed the memorable walk off 3 run homer.

And prior to that was 11 days ago when he held on to a 1-run lead with a 3up 3down 16 pitch inning.
