Santana has always been a second half guy and he's shown recent weeks that he's doing it again. Been hitting much better of late. .325 in July, and has 2 homers already this week. He can provide protection for EE now. Have to get Jose up in the top 3 of lineup.

Guyer batting 2nd is an absolute joke. The dude tried 3 times to lay a bunt down last night in two seperate at bats and failed all 3 times.

Francona has really been pissing me off this year. I love the guy but his heart problem this year has obviously caused lack of blood to the brain.

That makes sense; I thought maybe you wanted to bury EE and Carlos farther down.

I didn't see the play, but Hamilton sounded very upset that Almonte didn't make that catch. Seems like he badly misplayed it.

newspaper reports from AP and from NY Times both suggested he should have, too. Sun perhaps a contributing factor, but he stopped shy of the wall and the ball went beyond him, where he should have been.

We have some terrific defenders in the outfield. Abe is not one of them. Return trip to Columbus upcoming I assume. We have Naquin down there hitting up a storm. Robertson hitting great too and we saw what a fine fielder he is during his stay in Cleveland earlier.

Yankees have sat down their big bat catcher Sanchez because of his defense. We are pretty solid defensively and that is a must for a potential champion
