HB was right about Zimmer. We already have a guaranteed K guy in EE.

Guess I gave the kiss of life to Edwin, at least?

I'm tired of watching Salazar groove pitches. I'd like to see Salazar and McCallister switch roles. McCallister is a better "pitcher". He keeps the ball low and he works the corners, something Salazar can't do on a consistent basis.

It's pretty simple. If a guy has a glaring weakness in the minors it is only going to be worse in the Major Leagues. Zimmer struck out 43 times in 126 at bats in AAA this year. A little over 1/3 of his at bats. So what are MLB guys going to do to him?
0-3 with 3 K's tonight.
Only thing to do now is be patient. Leave him in the 9 hole and add no pressure to him. Just coach him up and let him learn. Tito, Burkleo, and Quatraro just keep working with him on his approach and get him better. If they weren't ready for nights like this they never should have brought him up because it was obvious.

Golly gee willikers, I was 61 pages behind. The season is 1/4 over and I've hardly been able to pay any attention ... retirement day can't come soon enough.

I can't afford to retire. I'm 73 and still working full time at the day job. I did retire from the library two years ago after 20 years while holding down the two jobs. I'll probably die sitting in front of my computer at work before I retire. As long as they feel I'm still productive, I won't be going anywhere for quite a while.

If you have holes in your swing, Major League teams are going to find it. Once they know how to get you out, it's up to the hitter to make the adjustment.
Zimmer has a long way to go. So does Diaz.

Rather expected this from Zimmer on Day 1. Glad he's getting a shot now to experience the big leagues while the rest of the OF rests and recovers. [Who would have guessed Brantley would be the only OF not on the DL this season!] He'll return to Columbus soon and maybe the baptism will help when he returns later this season.

Not only are Indians playing early today but minor leaguers got started early today too.
Indians game starts at noon eastern today. Little over 20 minutes. I love day baseball!!
Akron currently winning 3-1 in 4th, on a Chang homer and good pitching by Lugo, who is back from injury.
Lynchburg is ahead 4-0 in the 2nd, Haggerty with 3 run triple to clear the bases.
Lake County is ahead 4-0 in 5th inning. Chu with a double.
Looks like it is going to be a great day for the organization so far. Let's hope Tribe keeps it going!
