Bauer can't spot the fastball. He grooved three pitches and it cost him four runs. Nasty breaking ball would work if he could locate on the corners rather than down the middle. He should take lessons from Stroman. This one looks grim. Stroman is a very good pitcher. It's going to be tough scoring four runs.

We didn't catch the breaks tonight. A lot of hard hit balls to the wall tonight. Ramirez was robbed with two out and two on. I had that one marked down as a triple, two runs in. With a bad bounce, maybe an inside the park homer. Ramirez just missed on in the eighth. Two on, a ball and two strikes lined one of the facing of the second deck wall. Just missed a three run home by around ten feet. Ramirez goes 1-4 and very easily could have been 3-4. Sh*t Happens! A bunch of missed opportunities. Three double plays took us right out of this one.

Bauer pitched OK after giving up the two homers, too. But for us to go back to the WS, we have to start getting some of those breaks, too. And why not start a runner or try a bunt, rather than hoping we don't hit into yet another double play?
