Simply put...........we've been out-clutched this year.

Except for a couple of bright spots, this has been a pretty ugly start to the season. Let's hope Kipnis brings some magic back with him when he returns.

You just get the feeling that it just is not going to happen today.

These guys look lethargic. 1-2-3 hitters go down in order with 2-3 going down on swinging strikes.

WoW! AGAIN!. Manning just indicated that we have the worst pitching staff ERA in the league to start the season.

12 games into the season, I'm concerned. Bad pitching, no clutch hitting, can't hit left handed pitching, the big money man not living up to his end of the bargain, Gomes AND Perez doing their own impersonations of Mr. Mendoza. There is just not much to be excited about. Two bright spots have been Lindor and Ramirez but that's something we all expected.

Three bullets left to pick up three runs. Middle third of the lineup due.

What more can I say. Another ugly loss but with some great pitching from Carrasco.

What a difference a day makes.
Yesterday, #42 was hitting the ball all over the place. Today, #42 didn't play.
Who dat in last place in the AL Central?

I can't help but to keep harping on Encarnacion. Francona has to bench his ass. Encarnacion has no idea of how to approach an at bat save for hitting home runs. Why the "F" would you be trying to hit a home run when your team is down by three runs in the bottom of the 9th and you are leading off the half inning??? Wouldn't you think that he would be trying to get on base any way he could by walking or just putting the ball in play by cutting down on his swing??? Instead, he goes down swinging on a change up and looked very badly doing so. I swear, from what I"ve seen of Encarnacion so far, I can honestly say that EE has no clue.
Take Ramirez in the next at bat. K-Rod throws a fastball over the outside corner, Ramirez lines a rope down the left field line, JUST foul and what would have been a double. The next pitch is low but Ramirez showed bunt. The next pitch was a fastball over the inner half of the plate and Ramirez lines one down the right field line for a double. Chisenhall pinch hit and was out. Diaz flied out to center. Ramirez stranded at second. What new??
Lindor and Ramirez have put on a hitting clinic so far. You would think that the rest of the team would stand up, take notice, and follow suit.

We played ourselves into last place Seagull. I think Saturday's effort was a mirage. It most certainly was not the norm. Today was more like it. We had two men on base in 3 out of the first 4 innings and couldn't get a run home. If this is the norm, forget about the playoffs. These guys better get their collective heads out of their asses or we'll be on the outside looking in. The Twins are hot and in first place as we head to Minnesota tonight.
