Yandy is back on the field. Comes in as a replacement, and promptly shoots a ball the opposite way for a single.

Pitcher just tried to sneak a fastball by Frankie. He turned on it and smoked it to RF, short hopping the wall for a double.

Then Zimmer hits a ball opposite way for a double to left center.

I love some of our kids man. We are looking good for near future.

Yandy goes opposite way again, hits a liner between 1B and 2B, their 1st baseman makes a very nice diving grab. Love the way these youngsters use the whole field.

And beyond--- F. Mejia won't be in the majors for a couple years yet. Bobby Bradley is only 20 and might be a great power hitter at 1B. Chang and Castro and Mathias and Krieger might be excellent middle infielders.
Below AA the OF pickings are a little thin, although Will Benson last year's No. 1 pick has a high ceiling but a lot of hurdles to clear. I really would like to get Santander back for a corner bat. And there are the CFs discussed earlier today in Minor Matters.

Box Score on AT BAT shows an accent over the O in Erik Gonzalez' name. Is that right? I've never heard that name pronounced with stress on first syllable.

Link to the box score. I am very pumped up about Brantley going deep AND getting in 4 at bats.

Also pumped that Austin Jackson made the team. That guy is a defensive whiz in CF!

Kluber and Salazar are ready to go. Bauer has been characteristically sort of erratic. Carrasco doesn't have enough innings and that elbow is a worry. Tomlin has been his normal self. 6th starter Clevinger had a bad spring and needs to do better in Columbus.

Yandy got no hits yesterday, still seems to hit to RF most of the time. When he gets that straightened out, I think he will have power, he has a man's body. Almonte looks like he has lost a little weight, I think that is good also, more speed. When Crockett keeps the ball low he is effective. All 3 probably wont make the team at first.

What's your guess for 3rd base? Tito certainly seems to be rooting for him to prove his defense is good enough.
Almonte won't make it if Brantley does. But yes if Lonnie's not ready.
Crockett probably won't. One bullpen spot until Carrasco is ready, I'd vote for Goody. These seem to like Frias.
