We continue to defy all odds. This was a huge start to the series. Kluber showed off his skills and why he is one of the best pitchers in baseball. Jose breaks his slump coming up with three hits. And I can't say enough about Roberto Perez. He catches a shutout and drills a pair of long balls. All in all, a nice team effort. Maybe tomorrow it will be Kipnis', Santana's, and Napoli's turn to shine. The Cubs extended Miller tonight......45 pitches. That could change Francona's game plan tomorrow if he can't go. It appeared the long layoff effected Miller's performance tonight. Super Job!

The opening night win shouldn't be any surprise. Kluber is simply one of the best pitchers in baseball and when it's important he's at his best. Miller and Allen did what they always do, with the only difference that this time it was Miller who added some drama. A couple early manufactured runs. And someone, you never know who which night, comes up with some longballs. Of course no errors, since we don't make them and since hardly any Cubbies put the ball in play.

Apparently really good pitchers can stop the Cubs vaunted offense. Since we don't have our second Cy-caliber starter available, we'll see if one or more of our pretty good pitchers can hold them down. Obviously we'll need at least 1 non-Kluber win in this series.

This game does not appear particularly promising

If it is possible to be bored in a World Series game in which your heroes are ahead in the series this game is allowing it.

If this guy did more pitching and less tweeting about supposed insults from the media everyone would be better off.

At least I wont have to worry about not getting enough sleep tonight. The tribe has to now win 1 of 3 in chicago. They dont seem to as Reggie Jackson always says have enough pop.

We're not gonna get a single hit, if we even get out of the top of the fifth.

Shaw is stinking it up again. He's no good unless we have a lead in the 7th. Never has been.
