As for this series, the events so far have been so unlikely that I won't bother making predictions.
Tomlin at Fenway? Certainly wouldn't like that situation, but who the heck knows now? And certainly Miller and Cody will be very rested.
On the other side, Buchholz is no bargain for the Red Sox either, although he's pitched well of late. The way the Tribe is hitting, they may be salivating.
Quite obviously, the fact that Kluber would be available for a game 5 at Progressive if necessary, sure is our potential trump card. (That's trump with a small t)

Not making a prediction either cause I certainly don't want to jinx anything, but want to mention that Tomlin seems to pitch his best when rested and come tomorrow he won't have pitched for, what, 7 or 8 days?

Awesome point, totally agree HB!
Next year, if I were them, I'd be skipping some of his starts, giving him extra days between starts...etc

And also forgot to mention our X factor (although in general I never forget).
Tito Francona is one amazing manager. Once again he proves it.
He takes an almost completely inexperienced playoff team against a seasoned team full of all stars, and they go out and bust their butts for the guy. Total no names.
Tito is the man.

Lucroy knew that the Indians plan for him was to replace Napoli at first base next year. I'm sure they told him that was a definite possibility. Indians FO has always been pretty honest with their players.
Indians know that there is little to no chance to retain Napoli. Lucroy would have allowed them to replace Napoli's production and stay in the same ballpark money wise.

Not that it disapproves Lucroy's offensive skills, but he's been a key part of the Rangers failure in the first 2 games vs Toronto. 0-8 and left 6 runners on base. And does the catcher deserve some of the blame when the starting pitchers fail?

I'll say something else about Lucroy, his defense in the ALDS has been hurting their team too. In the 3rd inning of game 1 he failed to block a ball in the dirt by Hamels and the wild pitch allowed Travis to go to 2nd base. Right after he scored on a hit by Donaldson. Then, the very next inning, Lucroy tried to frame a low fastball and missed the pitch. The ball went between his legs and to the wall. Travis again was able to go 1st to 2nd base. And Donaldon again gets a hit, a single, which scored Travis.
Neither play would have happened with Perez.

So as a result perhaps Tribe fans won't get the opportunity to boo Lucroy in the ALCS.
And get to keep Mejia and Chang and Allen and wasn't there a fourth player too?
