As I far I could tell, the Indians won on Friday, reducing their magic number to Duke Sims. I am sure some folks here still can create a scenario in which the Tribe blows a 7 run lead with 15 games to go, but I cannot.

To quote my Magic 8-Ball.

IT IS DOUBTFUL

Also, to quote the late great Gene Wilder as Willie Wonka
You should never doubt what nobody is sure about

I apologize for my lack of faith and skepticism.

Todays game is probably going to be rained out making tomorrow a double header.

Carlos Carrasco - S - Indians

Carlos Carrasco's X-rays revealed a fracture of the fifth metacarpal bone in his right hand.

Carrasco was lifted from Saturday's game after Ian Kinsler smashed a line drive off his hand on only his second pitch of the afternoon. The injury is identical to the one that has sidelined Tigers third baseman Nick Castellanos since early August. Assuming his timeline is similar, it doesn't look Carrasco will be available again this year unless the Indians make a deep playoff run. It's a devastating loss for the Tribe.
