Once again an amazing performance by the surging WhiteSox. And with the Tigers once more crushing an outmanned opponent our chances continue to dim. Perhaps a total revamping over the winter will be necessary, if we have any hopes to contend over the next decade.

For Tribe to be "looking up at the Tigers by the end of the week" we'll have to lose 7 games over the next 4 days while Tigers win the same number. It will be tough, but I guess not impossible.

Yet another incredibly tough one for the Tribe today with a raw rookie going up against the vaunted ChiSox power lineup and Tribe punch and judy hitters facing an established veteran with 132 career wins and who's been red hot over the past month with an ERA well below 11 runs a game.
And the high powered Tigers are likely to run roughshod over the Twins, although as a matter of fairness they have spotted Minnesota a 4 run lead in the 2nd.
We'll be glad that the margin over Detroit is a narrow 5 games as the Indians head home and try to fend off their hard-charging rivals.

If you are going to try to quote me and throw numbers out at least get the quote right. My actual words, still in writing were "by the end of
next week we are looking up at the Tigers" Which at the time was 11 days and 10 games.....3 of which are against the Tigers, 3 of which are against the team we just lost 2 to and 3 against the Royals, and it's not out of the realm of possibility we lose 2 to them. Plenty of time.
Granted the Tigers have to win their games too, but I'm being pragmatic. If you want to call it pessimistic so be it, but if you are going to quote me get it right.
I feel the high high's when we are playing on cloud 9, and the low lows when we lose and look terrible doing it. If you don't like it, put me on hide.

Tigers rally back putting 2 men on base in the 4th.

Clevinger did a good job getting out of that 2 out bases loaded jam in the first.

It's already happened, and I worry that (especially in the playoffs) they don't try calling balks on Clevingers little rock/stutter step/tap thing he does.

OK, give the Tigers an extra week and we'll see how they're doing. Tribe fans historically have had good reason to expect the worst.

Shields is getting frustrated, and has loaded the bases.
Let's take advantage!

Dang it. One run scores, but we leave em loaded again!
Does anyone keep track of how many times teams do that? We have to be among the leaders

I think Andre Knott just said that Gomes will not be activated on Friday after his hand was examined
BUT Hoynsie tweeted:

Francona said Indians won't know results of MRI until Friday. Dr. Thomas Graham scheduled to read MRI Thursday night or Fri morning.
