Guirriel is living up to the hype so far. His defense has been as good as I thought it would be. I was hoping he would get off to a good start offensively. Look like he's on track. Guirriel is a very good ball player. I have high regard for Lourdes also. I thought they would both look good in Cleveland as I did for several other of those Cuban ball players.

I was there today. This foul ball was a highlight:

Bauer still needs to work on remaining calm when he doesn't get a call. Indians had just scored 4 runs in the 5th, to take a 10-3 lead. The next inning, he thought he had Gurriel struck out , but it was called ball 4. He was visibly upset on the mound, then gave up a homer to Rasmus. Tito pulled him immediately after that.

Bauer has the maturity issue to deal with. His younger teammates at SS and 3B have managed that very well.

Tito must like Garner or he wouldn't use him when we're holding a lead. I'd be more comfortable easing him in on those, preferably rare, days when we get behind.

Where'd you see that, J.R.?
Report from Andre Knott on TV said tightness in forearm.

Davis just saved Shaw a double. Most def gonna be on the highlight reel. Right after Lindor's grab of a line drive while on the run towards 2nd base. Tribe flashing some good D tonight.

Ramirez with a highlight gem also. I don't hnow how that runner was out at second but he never complained and headed straight back to the dugout. I thought the runner was safe. Helluva play. Infield has been rock solid.

Our old friend Victor Martinez homered in the 8th to give the Tigers a big win over Baltimore. That win pulled the Tigers even with Baltimore for the 2nd wild card spot.

Salazar was pulled as a precaution after four innings and 76 pitches due to tightness in his right forearm, but a four-run second inning, an impressive home run by Mike Napoli and solid bullpen work helped Cleveland pick up the win. That allowed the first-place Indians to maintain their six-game lead over Detroit in the division standings.

No biggie, J.R. Just wondered if you had later info than I did. Scared me for a sec.
Of course there is a huge % chance that I am completely full of crap on this, but starting to get a gut feeling that Salazar is a big girly boy and not wanting to fight through normal aches and pains that pitchers have. Like he's afraid he's going to tear something again and screw himself out of a big contract later or something.
Tito or Callaway hinted that Salazar was being too cautious the last time Salazar asked out with soreness. And here we have it again.
