Interesting stats. Wonder why Dennis Eckersley wasn't listed.

Bauer got off to rocky start allowing 3 but we've cut lead to 3-2 just 2 batters in.

Now up 7-3 with Crisp now having 3 hits.
Great hitting by Lindor as well, they pretty much roughed up Alex Fernandez!

Gotta hand it to Bauer. After rocky start he settled in and pitched a great game.

Went to the game last night and had a great time! Rocky first but Bauer was amazing after that. Some of the innings were so quick/ Great win and fireworks show. They were giving away Carlos Bar=erga jerseys, nice quality. Beautiful weather!

Bauer, to me, is sooo like that. He's a guy who is very dependent on his confidence.
When he has it, you can see it, and his filthy stuff just breezes through lineups.
And it's often early in games when he isn't quite there yet with that confidence. IMO that's why relief wasn't a good gig for him.

Except for that million inning game in Toronto....that was epic.

Amen to that!
Good move here, finally skipping a Tomlin turn:
Mike Clevinger - R - Indians
Mike Clevinger will start on Monday against the Astros.
He's taking Josh Tomlin's spot. Tomlin will be available in relief Monday but could rejoin the rotation later this week. Clevinger holds a 5.30 ERA over 11 appearances -- five starts.

Good on Clevinger but if they wind up clinching early or they need another starter I would like Merritt to get a shot.

Earlier this season I thought Merritt was more ready for a shot, but at this point I think I'd just go with Clevinger. He's got some experience now.
