I must be about 2 minutes behind....I just saw the bunt/w error.

Lindor with walk off single. Can't believe we won that game. Felt like a loss all night.

No worries, I stopped refreshing and had to turn my phone alerts off...they were dinging as scoring plays happened.
And I agree, it did, especially after Shaw came in, at least they managed to stop the bleeding enough to keep it winnable.

Seems silly but I agree this win was big. 7-11 last 18 games. Team hasn't been playing well. Just starting a long streak of games at home. We need to get a good spell going to turn things back around.

Totally agree this game was huge. The team hasn't played well since before the break, going back to the 19 inning game in Toronto.
To win like this, at home, after going through 6 pitchers, NOT having to go extra innings, after a horrible road performance by both sides.
I had a bad feeling this could have sent us into a tailspin. Coming from behind like that. HUGE.
Hopefully they can keep the momentum going, but if they have to swoon a bit, I'd rather it be now than the end of September.

I agree this win was big. It was beginning to look like the team was falling apart. Still plenty of bad signs: Salazar and Bauer are both in slumps. Defense has gone from top-notch to shoddy. The 3rd baseman and the catcher cannot hit even a little tiny bit. But this comeback brings back the optimism.
And sure tells us how important it is to get some RH bats to match what Naquin and Chisenhall are delivering. [And who would have guessed that both of them would be hitting over 300 and coming through regularly in the clutch?]

Don't know if it was mentioned but Manning said Salazar was battling flu type symptoms before the game. So his outing can be written off.
I just think the team was a bit flat (Manning agreed) coming off 29 road games out of 42.
On the broadcast they also mentioned that before that long stretch on the road, they were 1 game up. Now 5.5 up. Any way you slice that, it was hugely successful.
They now have the most home games left in the league.

Strasburg vs. Carrasco is a terrific matchup. Possibly the best pitcher in each league.
So it'll probably by a 10-9 final score.

Defense lets us down again. Failure to turn that DP has cost us 2 runs now, and still batting. And racking up a huge pitch count.

So far 3 good innings by each starter, but one stinker from Carrasco and we're down 2-0 in the 4th.
