Interesting Napoli .304 - 18 - 55 RBI vs NY Yankees. Announcers said only Miguel Cabrera and (yes) Alex Rodriguez had done more hitting in their careers vs. Yankees than Napoli.

Subtle - Napoli, of all people, hits the ball to the right side with Lindor on 2nd, no one out. Advances him to 3rd. Crazy!

This was one amazing pickup.

Rare mistake by Lindor in bottom of 9th pretty much gutted the inning when he ran into the 3Bman and got an interference call.

Oh well, 3 hit game for him, just an amazing talent.

We go extra innings, 6-6. This team has no quit in them.

Very costly mistake, as we could have taken the lead. Tough to beat the Yankees' pen!

Right! With Chapman in control at that time, might have cost the game.

Sundays might be a day of rest but please, please find someone other than Santana to play 1B when Napoli takes a break.

3B ain't Ramirez's best position either.

Parade of stiffs describes Tito's bullpen shuffle.

Not a good day

I think that streak took its toll, and obviously part of that was the crazy Toronto game.

That said, they are still 7 games ahead at the all star break. I am NOT complaining!!

8-) :D

I didn't see it but from what Francona said, Almonte screwed up the game winning hit on Saturday. Is there anything good about him?

Saturday was winnable, unlike Sunday. Anyone know why Chisenhall and Naquin never made appearances to sub for the three vacant positions at the bottom of the lineup when the RH relievers entered?

Gomes can't catch a break for anything.

"An ugly finish to an ugly game"

You said it, Matt Underwood.

Yan Gomes slump extends to defense now, I guess. Bases loaded one out. Ball hit back to pitcher, Colon, deflected. Colon gathers it and throws to home. Throw was offline but should have been caught by Gomes. Bounced off his glove. Game over.

Lucroy homered today. Call the Brewers, please.

I'm OK with Roberto Perez; good defense and merely mediocre offense is enough at catcher. I'll take a 3rd baseman.

During the Streak the defense was terrific. Since it has been sketchy. We still need a backup firstbaseman who can play 1st base. Santana is a disgrace.
