Buster Olney @Buster_ESPN
As Indians and Jays recover from 19 innings Friday, Cleveland will probably turn to Zach McAllister for emergency start.

OK, that avoids the Passport problem. It still means a sacrifice game, but that's OK; we don't need to win them all. And we have plenty of relievers who are hardly overworked. If I had a preference and there were someone available I'd rather get 5 innings from a minor leaguer and send him back home tomorrow than pile up pitches on Zach and Hunter and Joba and Manship and Gorzelanny -- but then again there are a lot of them to share to work. And if it goes xtra innings we can use Giminez.

It's official. McCallister is getting the start today.

They did call up Morimando (sp?) and DFA'd Michael Martinez. So they have a long arm if needed in a pinch.

I wouldn't push McCallister too hard after he pitched yesterday. Maybe 3 innings tops. Then just go to the arm an inning thing like we did yesterday. Those guys are plenty rested after the work the starters have done recently.

McAllister was in and out pretty quick, with a 3 run homer on his tab. Manship worked the 2nd, and Morimando debuting in the 3rd: his fastballs are being listed at between 81 and 89 mph, which doesn't overwhelm. but he avoided damage after two one-out singles.

We're behind only by 1 run after 3, so anything's possible. .

15 innings earlier than yesterday, Santana homers, and the score, rather amazingly, is tied. Estrada never allows 3 runs, I thought

Two more hits, no runs, off Shawn in the 4th, ends it striking out Josh Donaldson. His pitching weakness is his command, but no walks in his first two major league innings. Could just happen to earn his first major league win before he heads back to Akron.

Looking at Estrada's game logs, I'm not sure what makes him so "great". Last 4 starts include 3 where he allowed 3 runs in 6 innings; one 2 in 6 2/3. Ho hum. Wouldn't crack the Indians' starting five.

Or Morimando might get go back to Akron with his first big league loss; 2 run homer by Tulowitzki puts Jays up 5-3 on an 82 mph 2-seam fastball.

So Santana can't scoop that throw then Tulo hits a 2 run homer.

How important is defense! And it's why Napoli is the regular 1st basman. (He sccops that, just sayin)

Estrada doesn't quite "save the bullpen" for the Jays: ; he's gone after 5 innings, Jays up 5-3

For Napoli fans, today he's struck out swinging each of his first 3 times up.

Yeah, and Napoli just struck out, again, with 2 men on base.

0-3 with 3 K today.

Just sayin'.

It's not that I'm not a fan of Napoli. I don't hate him. I just wouldn't play him against righties. I'd love to platoon him with Santana.

You can put any righty on the mound and Naps strikes out. Don't matter if it's a pitcher or an infielder.

Bases loaded with 1 out.

C'mon, Lonnie.

Ugh, he K's too.

Up to Uribe.... egads

He hit him with pitch! Thank God. Had no faith in him either. LOL
