Yeah, really! The way Naquin and Chis are doing they could lock up CF and LF.
7 runs so far tonight. Crazy
Lucky Antonetti doesn't listen to us!
And most of all, Tito is the man!!

Kipnis goes deep in the 9th. 8-2 now. bottom of the 8th home plate umpire took a wicked shot to the jaw. Only working 3 the rest of the way.

Tito is definitely doing a great job!
Glad to see some relievers get a little work tonight.

This is a little surreal; every time I check out the scoreboard we've taken an early lead; and then added more runs late. They won't keep winning this easily every night. But I'll take it!

Well CIV, groundhog day. 2 runs in the first.
Again, to make the point of how this team was improved, speed again steals a run. This never would have happened in past years.
Jose Ramirez steals 2nd, and Lindor races home from 3rd when the throw to 2nd is executed. Double steal. 2nd baseman flustured and couldn't cleanly get the ball and throw home.
Look, you have arms like this team does, speed and defense were great, albeit belated, additions to the core players.
(PS - Ramirez steals again in the 3rd)

By the way, was watching MLB Network and our old buddy Dan O'Dowd was giving his opinion on Kluber.
The topic was why he was inconsistent, great outings sometimes and not at all great sometimes.
O'Dowd's opinion was that Kluber was NOT the type of pitcher who could be crafty and battle his way through outings where he didn't have his best stuff and/or command.
He thought Kluber had amazing/unhitable stuff when his command and stuff were on though.

Make that ELEVEN in a row!
Gotta love HOW they won this game, too. Had a 2 run lead, lost it, but came back in the top of the 9th with 3 more. Carlos Santana, whom TFIR wanted to get rid of last week, comes through with another big hit.

Don't knock TFIR or me. We both have deadly lips and are not afraid to use them. Our Kiss has revived a number of players to help us get on top of the heap.

Seems we've acquired the
HB kiss of life
Loufla. Santana the latest beneficiary of our bad judgement!
Even better, we are NOT the GM. Lucky, or the team might be cleared out by now. (Not including pitchers of course)

Those 3 runs in the ninth came on a grand total of two singles. Plus two walks, a wild pitch and a really key error by a SS who sure doesn't play the position like Lindor. The Braves gave that one away.
Allen's save was not very pretty: a homer and a triple before he ended it on a nice long fly out. I would not object to adding some late inning bullpen help. Otherwise the team is perfect. [at least for the moment]

I posted about benching Uribe yesterday fully anticipating him homering last night. But looks like my KOL does know bounds.

More of the "anything they do works now" department: Jose Ramirez bats cleanup??!!

And he gets a big hit there. Tito is pushing all the right buttons right now.
