Mt. Fan, I'm glad you are around and fine. I read about the miner in Idaho this week and thought about you.[/quote]
TFIC, I'm pretty sure I worked with that guy many years ago in Montana. His name rung a bell the first time I heard it but I had a hard time putting a face on it. Other guys from that job confirmed he used to work in Montana.
The place where I'm working we just completed an entire year with a 50 man crew with zero injuries of any kind - not even a first-aid. Not bad considering we're building the client's mine for them, under 3000 ft. of mountain. ( I'm the safety manager).

That said, a gust of wind there might have been very interesting.
LOL!
Apparently you've seen one of those sorority girl themed films....

169One of the things I've always loved the most about this forum is that it's here for whenever we have the time and opportunity to relax and enjoy. I like that the communication here does not have to be time sensitive.rocky raccoon wrote:Interesting that some members here choose to use the 'hidden' cloaking devise when in the neighborhood.
Come out of the closet!
In the early days of AOL that "instant chat" stuff, the need to respond immediately got to the point I didn't really enjoy it. My horse racing board was big on private messaging that I also didn't enjoy as much as just reading posts.
I like the fact I can come in here at leisure, read the walls, and then offer words when I'm in fun or relax mode.
Of course Gametime is a completely differerent entity. There I like the real time banter.
That's just me. Most of the time I have this place on in the late night California hours after my wife has gone upstairs to bed. I'm WAY more of a night owl than she is....
Re: Idle Chatter
170Super cool episode of California Gold on one of our local PBS stations.
They have some of the original "Muscle Beach" guys and ladies with old photos and video.
Of course I knew something about Muscle Beach, but not about all the pageantry and community that existed among the regulars there.

171Regarding the new Browns Board
I haven't been able to regularly get on there to post for several days. I saw Rusty's request for a new option and tried to get on today. I'm absolutely entering my correct user name and password but it keeps rejecting. I'm to the point now that my log on attempts require correctly deciphering the numbers and letters of one of those "security" things. I absolutely know I've deciphered and entered correctly and it still rejects my log in. Today I tried J.R.'s technique of slightly altering my user name and re-registering, but I had the same results because I used the same email.
I've been able to read there, and it looks like only three or four screen names are posting.
I'm wondering if anyone else is having problems accessing and maybe that's why.

Re: Idle Chatter
172CALI: I don't know how to correct that problem, other than re-registering. You could cancel your account there, or I could do it for you, then you could sign up again with the same name and email, since it wouldn't be a duplicate. I haven't had a problem logging in here or there. I use the "log me in automatically" feature, and always use the same computer, though.
Re: Idle Chatter
173Thanks, J.R.. If you don't mind, cancel the account and I'll let it rest for 24 hours and try to re-register. Round One of the draft is Thursday starting at 5PM my time and I'd like to be able to be connected. I'm flying to Tampa that evening with a stop in Phoenix.J.R. wrote:CALI: I don't know how to correct that problem, other than re-registering. Re: Idle Chatter
174Done, CALI.
btw, your username must be between 3 and 20 characters, and your password between 6 and 100.

176CALI: You are still on the list here, so you can post. Have you had any problems here, or only on the Browns board?

178Only the Browns Board, JRJ.R. wrote:CALI: You are still on the list here, so you can post. Have you had any problems here, or only on the Browns board?
Thanks for your help.
I think it will all work out.....tomorrow.

Cali, I have heart for the Tribe, like you.
