Bad sign for today's game: Everything looks right for our side: Carrasco vs. Shane Greene with a 7.15 ERA
Miguel Cabrera out of the lineup, subbed for by Andrew Romine who's hitting 125. Mike Aviles in LF is hitting 111.
Chisenhall sitting for the Tribe despite the RH pitcher.
No chance we can lose this one. Right?!

Could be a hamstring. Not good, but he can come back in a month or so, maybe?

He couldn't put any weight on it as he walked off so didn't look good. But hope he tweeked his hammy and not knee injury.

Bryan Shaw almost does it again: game in to hold a 6-2 lead again in the 8th. He allowed two hits, struck out two, walked two but Tito drags it away with the bases loaded, tying run at first, and Cabrera in to pinch hit.
McAllister worked the easy 7th, so it was Jeff Manship to the fore, and he took care of Cabrera on a foul pop.

I guess we know now who'll be moved off the active roster to make room for Brantley. If Tito is willing to get by with a 7 man bullpen, which is more than enough with our normal rotation but will keep busier when Bauer is back out there every 5 days. Even today it took Trevor 64 pitches to work 3 1/3 innings. He is murder on a bullpen.
And then there are recent struggles of Cody Anderson to take care of: suddenly we are down to 2 hard-throwing, 1 soft-tossing reliable starters and a couple erratic young guys.
TJ House is the logical "next in line" but he's not been very sharp in his return to action 4.80 ERA 18 hits 7 walks in 15 inning. The rest of the AAA depth is Mike Clevinger, talented but just in his first weeks at that level; Ryan Merritt, a Tomlin-esque lefty with only a bit more AAA experience; Will Roberts who's been effective this April but has never made any depth charts of prospects; and that distinguished 34-year old Jarrett Grube who's been in 364 minor league games and has faced 3 batters in his major league career.

JRam in the 5th spot and Byrd hitting behind him each drove in a pair of runs on back to back singles in the 4th and 5th. Lindor scored two of those, as he singled three times and walked.

Get out the broom.
First Tribe sweep in Detroit since 2008. If he's said since 1995 I'd have believed it.
