Since 2013 Allen has only pitched 1 less game than Shaw. 224 to 223

I worried about Shaw during Spring Training and its the same now, his ball does not have the sharp movement that it used to. When it is straight, it is easy to hit.

The guy was used sooo much the last couple seasons, I think he's toast.

At the very least, time to use someone else in the 8th.

Kluber has given up 3 runs already, which is more than the team ever scores for him. Put this one in the "L" column!

PD story says Kluber's velocity has been down a mile or so from last year and yesterday was off another mph.

Indians score only one run for Salazar, and lose, 2-1

Good pitching beats good pitching.

Day game today and Cody Anderson was awful: 5 runs on 9 hits in 3 1/3 innings. That makes a total of 10 runs and 18 hits in his last 8 innings over two terrible starts. Bauer has pitched 2 shutout innings; well he had, just allowed a run and it's 6-3 Mariners.

Rajai Davis back in the lineup has a 3 run homer and a double for our runs. [Update: 7-3; I guess Bauer is out of gas. Tito will a chance to use those rusty arms in the back of the bullpen]

Lonnie the Incompetent out there again, 0-2 with a strikeout.

McAllister in to replace Bauer. I guess Tito cannot remember the name of that 8th reliever any better than I can. Ortiz? No that's not it. I can look it up, but so could Tito. I bet he finds him out there in the bullpen sooner of later this afternoon.

Jose Ramirez batting 6th [who would have guessed this little infielder would bat in a key RBI position?] doubles in Carlos S to cut it to 7-4. That gives Lonnie the chance to bring him in. Chis has a total of 4 hits in ST plus rehab plus 1 1/2 games. He did hit well last July, though.

Reliever in for the M's. I was hoping for a lefty to match up with Chisenhall so we could pinch hit for him, but no such luck.

Lonnie singles! Run scores! 7-5 in this pitcher's duel.

Inning is over. 3 more to come. Joba may get in even if not that other guy.

Lonnie error but no problem for McAllister in a quiet inning.

Well, those veteran bums we signed are having themselves a day.
