Todays game officially postponed. Make it up as a DH'er on May 23.

Lucky to get 4 games in during that first week despite three postponements. Now we get to head south to Tampa where we should have started the season

Brantley doubled in his first at bat. Chisenhall knocked him home.

Kluber was cruising until the 8th. Then he gave up a two-run homer. Not to be outdone, Cody Allen came in and showed that he could walk a guy and give up a homer, too.
Indians lose, 5-1

No runs for Kluber again. So what's new?

Lefties still killing us. We need Uribe and Byrd to pick it up.

The fact we're counting on a couple bums like Uribe & Byrd tells you all you need to know about this team and it's chances this year.

Brantley will be back soon and that will give us 1 solid OF. Maybe Naquin will be allowed to play again before his spring training sharp bat has dulled away. Chisenhall hasn't managed a hit for Columbus, but I suppose will return some time like it or not Of course all of them are Lefties. Joey Butler hits right and is starting out well in the first week in Columbus.

As for the over-the-hill Uribe we have Urshela available whenever they want to send Juan away. But Gio is 0-12 in his first week after his excellent spring.

I continue to rate Carrasco both a no-hitter candidate every time he steps on the mound, and a legitimate Cy Young contender. According to game story, his 5 strikeouts in 20 straight starts is second to Feller [26 starts] in Tribe history, although that doesn't on its face sound like such a significant accomplishment.

Ramirez at 3rd, Naquin in Center, Perez behind the plate this afternoon vs. Chris Archer. Byrd with his 125/167/188 out here again. Not a lot of choice with the only option the great Clint Cowgill, since we have to carry 13 pitchers despite lots of off days and unsurprising rain/snow-outs.

First inning single by Davis, steals second; walk to Kipnis; Davis steals third; Kipnis steals second. No one reaches home.

Second inning: Naquin singles. Perez walks. No runs.

All that only took 40 pitches by Archer. A nice quick 0-4 with RISP in 2 innings for the Tribe.
