As soon as I posted the above, Kipnis made it 2 hits.

Thought the breakthrough of .500 would last. Not today.

Some real gains this season though.

Lindor far and away being the biggest. They have a piece to put with Brantley and Kipnis.

And the nice emergence of Cody and Josh as additions to the young studs, makes the rotation a solid thing.

The blatant issue remaining is the black holes in the lineup outside of the 3 mentioned above. Third base, right field, center field.

And this season catcher and first base were no treat either.

I think Gomes is a no brainer to return and bounce back.

But 3b, RF, CF and 1B too (Santana's season is very average for a 1B) remain big question marks.

I think Santana will be gone. I always thought he was too short for first base anyway, but he is signed to a relatively friendly contract and could do well in a new location. He has power, at least when it doesn't matter.

What's wrong with Kluber?

Reallly not looking good for the postseason now.

Seems Kluber wasn't the same after the injury. Tonight wasn't all that bad though.

But if you give up 4 runs with this lineup, prospects are never good.

I think last season was freakish for Kluber, everything went right. That's why it was a CY season.

I still think he is, and will be, a very good #1 for this staff. And that bumps Carrasco and Salazar down to 2 and 3 with less pressure as well. Great situation.

We lose the opener, 7-1. Carrasco joins Kluber in not pitching the way he could.
Tragic number reduced to ONE.

Why oh why did they pitch to Hunter in the 9th (Thur) he has like a career of killing the Indians in the clutch.

Friday night makes the Indians 49-2 in games they scored 4 runs or more. That is #2 in all of baseball.

In that one statistic the entire season is summed up.

There's a lot to draw from that one stat.

And if I heard right, they scored 2 runs or less in 21 of Kluber's starts.

I was there today, and brought back another Tribe victory!
I believe my record this year was 6-2.
