Great game last night. Too bad Kluber did not get the victory.

Where the hell is Johnson? What kind of spider puts the guy down so long?

He is ready. I believe I read somewhere that they are waiting until Tuesday (Sept 1) when the rosters expand.

Found this

Infielder Chris Johnson served as the designated hitter for Double-A Akron on Friday. He was scheduled to play in the field on Saturday. He'll travel with the team on its upcoming road trip and will be activated from the disabled list on Tuesday. He has been shelved with an infected spider bite on his left index finger.

"He's good to go," Francona said. "At the outset, I don't think he was thrilled about going out and playing a couple games. ... I'd hate for him, after a couple weeks, to lose some of his timing. He understood that."

Yeah, his record should be better, but this is the third time in about his last 10 starts that he had a lead and gave it away. Error did factor in, but there were some legitimate hits, like David Murphy's homer and the run-inducing double.

He's good, but not invincible like last year. Although he is some days. As are Carrasco and Salazar. And Bauer can be too. I agree with UD: Bauer is going to be a top rung starter too. Good rotation, that should be in the playoffs with a little offensive improvement.

Gomes slam was his first hit with bases loaded this year. He and Santana are both driving me nuts. If they would hit their career averages we'd have the offense to give the pitching appropriate support.

Percentage of hits off Tomlin that are homers is amazing. 26 innings, only 18 hits. That's great. 26 innings, 7 homers, that's atrocious. Just make sure that the homers continue to be solos, and he can get by with those strange numbers.

Earlier this year those were the type of things that were happening to us to cause us to lose. Perhaps this is the tat that pays for the, well, you know.

TFIR- Thanks for the info on Johnson, we need to see what we really got,not only in terms of hitting but possible positions he can play well.

This one has me white knuckling my Octoberfest.

Allen in for the 4 out save in the bottom of the 8th.

Promptly gives up a double putting runners at 2nd and 3rd.

It is LOUD in Toronto......I guess that's what happens when fans show up.

And now an intentional walk to load the bases.

Tribe up 3-2 going into 9th. Allen just struck out Smoak with bases loaded to end the 8th! Wow!
