If two were popups, how about the other two?

Clearly he is looking for a positive there, desperately.

Tomlin the story tonight with a nice effort in win over Yankees.

Cody struggles in the 9th again, but worms his way out.

not sure how Tomlin does it. As long as he keeps guys off base before the inevitable homers are hit, results are OK.

Huh...I thought Carasco was gonna cruise through this one......last I saw it was the 6th and he had 11 strike outs.

I leave the room for a bit, come back and its the 8th and we're on the second relief pitcher in McCallister....and now Perez lets a ball roll through his legs to let another run score.

Welp Allen is in for the 4 out close.....we hope.

So it was 4-1 going into the bottom of the 8th....like an hour ago.

The skanks put up a scare....but now the tribe takes control back in the top of the 9th 7-3....

nice bit o' baseball right there.

Carrasco had run his pitch count up pretty good, so Tito removed him. As well, I believe, he didn't want the chance of him taking a loss after pitching so well.

The staff did a great job shutting the Yankees down, and in that hitter's park as well. Great efforts.

If you are a contender, you don't want to play the Tribe. Hitting aside, they have guys who can shut you down on any given night.

Going for series win tomorrow.

Afternoon game today. Kluber is doing very well, but the Indians have grounded into 3 inning-ending double-plays in 4 innings. No score, bottom of 4

I dont' recall a Monday day not on a holiday since they installed lights in League Park. [Did they install lights in League Park?]

Indians have grounded into 3 inning-ending double-plays in 4 innings. That seems to be a team specialty, even without Swisher on hand.

Corey Kluber (@Indians): 4th pitcher this season to not allow a base runner through 4 IP 3 different times (Scherzer, Bumgarner, Kershaw)
Good company. But the other guys probably won their games, Corey is lucky if he's won any of his three

It's now 5 perfect innings with 9 strikeouts. Exactly the kind of start I'd expect him to get a no-decision on.

Aviles, Kluber and Santana with the GIDP. Aviles has been terrible with men on base this season.

Santana's was with men on 1st and 3rd.
If it weren't for the even worse performance this year by Gomes, I'd say we couldn't find a middle of the order hitting this bad.

Corey has needed 72 pitches to return the 15 guys he's faced. He won't make it through 9 unless he needs to stay in to "make history". Lester has taken only 62 for his 18 outs plus putting 4 men on base.

And the cubbies score first in the bottom of the 7th, I'm still not sure how that ball stayed fair...but it was enough to score the runner from second.

Klubot at 102 pitches trying to get the last out with a runner on 3rd.
