You're not. When the rain came I turned over and started watching a replay of the British Open and am far more excited. Fights come on Spike soon, I'm done with these bums for the evening.

Yeah, another thriller.

Can't imagine why TV ratings are down??

Basically, unless one of our SPs has a banner night, it's a LONG night. Heaven forbid a SP should have a bad night and win 7-5. Not happening.

Wow

@dmansworld474: NOT piling on injured Swish, just stating fact: #indians $35 MM in salary among Swish, Bourn and Moss has produced zero hits since July 7.

Just, wow.

I heard the last few innings on the radio. You could tell by Hammy's tone that he was fed up. He sounded very sarcastic.

Tito got to use a bunch of those bonus relievers he loves to have on hand. I forgot we had Manship. Wouldn't he maybe like a bit deeper bench when we play without the DH? Wouldn't make any difference to the outcome, but just asking

Kluber starts today - guaranteed loss :(

Despite the reality of the low run support for Kluber, if he is our No. 1 starter he should be able to outpitch other aces and when on occasion given a lead be able to hold it. No reason to expect him to match last year's performance, but he is partly responsible for his own results this year.

ERA: Kluber 3.38 Salazar 3.74 Bauer 4.03 Carrasco 4.07
WHIP: Kluber 1.11 Salazar 1.15 Carrasco 1.19 Bauer 1.25

Earned Runs allowed per start:

Kluber 0 2 times; 1 2 times; 2 4 times; 3 2 times; 4 2 times; 5 once; 6 once
Salzar 0 2 times; 1 4 times; 2 2 times; 3 3 times; 4 2 times; 5 two times; 6 once
Carsco 0 once; 1 4 times; 2 4 times; 3 3 times; 4 2 times; 5 4 times
Bauer 0 3 times; 1 3 times; 2 5 times; 3 once; 4 once; 5 2 times; 6 2 times; 7 once

Summary: starts no runs or 1 run, pitching at top quality and should win them all:

Kluber 4
Salazr 6
Carsco 5
Bauer 6

Summary: starts allowing 2 or fewer runs which should mean a degree of mastery and should usually be wins:

Kluber 8
Salazr 8
Carsco 9
Bauer 11

Which means that overall Kluber is most consistent but by any definition, all of the other starters have had more overpowering starts.

This may be the most enjoyable game all season so far.

Got my wish, a win when the pitching staff didn't hold the opposition to 3 or less runs. Imagine!

Baron, the HR by Yanimal was worth the price of admission alone this evening.

Yeah, now he is hopefully getting his stroke back. Oops, nevermind.

Yan Gomes - C - Indians

Yan Gomes is absent from the Indians' lineup Sunday.
Gomes cranked a homer on Saturday but is getting a breather the next day. Roberto Perez is behind the dish.

I don't get this. So coming off a huge break, showing signs of life, he gets benched. Yeah, that works.

I know what you're saying but since he's battled injuries this year it's probably good to give your catcher a day off when you're playing an early day game following a night game.

I would be surprised if ANY catcher started a day game after a night game. Especially in the heat and humidity they have in Cincy this weekend.

Indians only offense today = bases loaded walks!
