There is hope, if you look (hard) for it.
We remember this all too well, but I read Santana's career .OPS is 70 points higher in the second half than the first. This year, it would need to rebound even more - but it could happen.
I am hoping the all star break gives Brantley the break his back would benefit from.
Key, key guys!!

So the lousy pitcher who gives up well over 1 hit an inning to AAA hitters holds our "major league" hitters to 3 in 6 innings. Lucky to manage a win.

Well, if he is giving up 7 or 8 runs to everyone else I figured we could get 3 off of him.

and we came close to nailing him for 3! So I guess that counts as an offensive success.

Gaylord, without looking I am pretty sure Anderson goes today and Salazar goes tomorrow.
Have fun!

Must say that when the Tribe had 2 on and nobody out in the 6th (?) and didn't score that the game was over. Thought when Murphy came up in the 7th and wouldn't get them in (based on a a decent left handed side arming pitcher), well, wrong again. I thought Lindor was DOA on his double that inning. Also how did Murphy not try for third when the centerfielder bobbled that throw and then threw home. To make matters worse, not only is my GF from Houston, and the guy sitting behind us was visiting from Houston. We won, and that is all that mattes.

Good job bringing the win Doc
Now you just have to go to every game and sit in the exact same spot with the GF from Huston and the guy behind you from Huston.

Baron, that would require me to spend money on more tickets. I was designated driver too. Bummer.

Mediocre lefty on the hill for Houston. Doesn't sound like a good matchup for the Tribe.

Typical Tribe offense: ; 4 hits, one walk, 4 opportunities with RISP, no runs. Anderson gave up a solo homer, trails 1-0 after 4. First Tribe pitcher in history to pitch at least 7 2/3 in his first three starts and at least 4 in his 4th start.

he's walked two today after 0, 0 and 1 in his previous outings. No strikeouts, but I dont' care about those if he keeps the Astros off the board. Just ended the 5th with a DP with two men on.
First Tribe pitcher to last at least 7 2/3 in his first 3 starts plus at least 5 in his 4th. And he's earned one win for that work!

Lindor showing off his muscles!
Tied it up.
