11 of the last 13 batters struck out for Tampa.
Kluber and Allen combined to K at least 2 batters in each of the last 8 innings.

Allen was just down right dominate.
You know he had a rocky start to this season but since then he has been superb.

Oh yes, him too.
I was listening but not watching the 9th inning so almost forgot him.

Who predicted that we would sweep a first-place team after the way we played the last week?

I never would have guessed that was a first place team we were up against. Other than Longoria who are they? Sizemore batting cleanup? No one better than Asdrubal to play SS? We missed their best starter but I'll take 4 in a row against anyone.

Unreal performance by the pitchers this series. And the hitters got them some runs to work with and make their jobs easier. Finally.
THIS is why we were "cracking" on the hitters, and not the pitchers on this team.

For the series our pitchers' combined line:
37-13-8-6-5-38 1.46 ERA 0.49 WHIP
other than the Cy Young Winner:
28-7-4-3-4-24 0.96 ERA 0.39 WHIP

and we used Left Handed Pitchers to face a grand total of 0 batters.
Also rested Ryan Webb; McAllister faced one batter; so did Adams.

#Indians Closer Cody Allen has not allowed a Run over his last 15.2 Innings Pitched.
- 15G 6SV 15.2(IP) 7H 0R 0ER 2BB 28SO (16.15 K/9 IP)
16.1 K per 9 innings is pretty good.
