It does not get worse than this. Hopefully the low point.
Things that make me worry:
Kluber and Bauer seem to not be throwing as hard as earlier
Kipnis takes too many strikes and it makes him vulnerable
Our catching without Gomes cannot hit.
Ramirez and Chisenhall are sieve like.
Lindor wont be up until summer.
We have to hope that Swisher can hit.

I heard today that Bauer was still fighting his stomach upset, in which case he pitched well, and well enough certainly to earn the win.
Maybe Shaw and Atchison ate the same stuff as Bauer, but even more of it/ They need some excuses for their awful outings. Not the first time for either of them, however.
We have reliever options in AAA but to bring them up we'd have to DFA someone else. Francona does not like letting go of his old-timers.

Tell you what, McAllister's domination today in the 7th and 8th innings, BOTH, we such a key today.
A fresh power arm, a la Carrasco last year.
Take a hint Tito, and get McAllister a starring role in that pen!

Tito obviously is fishing for the right guy at the right time in the bullpen. Atchison has been erratic. Shaw has been awful since the start of spring training. Our best power arm is Austin Adams and although he's been perfect in Columbus and fine in his brief stay with Cleveland they haven't figured out how to make room on the roster. Wasting another excellent arm in Columbus with Kyle Crockett killing time down there for no fault of his own. Need to manage the roster better. Perhaps some vets will have to be DFAd

Can't blame the pen tonight. House is stinking up the house! 5-0, and it's only the 4th inning.

Nice 3 innings for TJ. Then the Blue Jays figured out how to hit his stuff and that was the end of his night.
Meanwhile we crowded men on base and couldn't bring them in.
Ugly game ends ugly month.
Bruce Chen or Shaun Marcum will almost certainly be joining the rotation soon.

Regarding the House situation...
I am confused. Don't they have Shawn Marcum at Columbus?
This is a guy who had a very nice MLB career. Rehabbed. The one appearance in relief he pitched quite well, and for 5 innings if I recall?
Then he gets sent out?
Something is missing here.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- With another off-day on the horizon, the Indians could go without a No. 5 starter until May 9. After that, another off-day allows the Indians to push back that fifth starter again until May 16.
Will TJ House be tabbed to make those starts?
House (0-4, 13.15) has pitched through an irregular schedule during the season's first month. Following his final outing in the Arizona desert, he went nearly two weeks until his season debut. The Tigers made quick work of him. House surrendered six runs on six hits and three walks and he departed before Miguel Cabrera's first-inning home run landed.
House didn't pitch again for a week. The Twins roughed him up on April 19 to the tune of five runs and seven hits in 5 2/3 frames. House wasn't supposed to pitch again for nine days, but when Trevor Bauer couldn't keep down his fettuccine alfredo, the southpaw was summoned to the mound at Comerica Park. House learned he would take the hill about 40 minutes before first pitch. He yielded three runs on four hits and four walks and left after three innings.
Finally, in his fourth outing of the season on Thursday, House couldn't point to the atypical schedule as a contributing factor to his struggles. He breezed through the first three frames, as he induced nine ground ball outs and did not allow a hit.
He crumbled in the fourth. After a walk and four Blue Jays hits to start the inning, he left. And he left questions about his future with the big league club. House has averaged fewer than four innings in his four outings. That has put a strain on the Tribe bullpen. Ryan Webb, promoted to the active roster on Wednesday, tossed three scoreless innings of relief a day later.
Any decision about the No. 5 spot in the rotation should be about more than just House, though. Bruce Chen has logged a 2-1 record and 1.08 ERA in four outings with Triple-A Columbus. In 25 innings, he has limited the opposition to 13 hits and one walk. He has tallied 17 strikeouts.
Shaun Marcum is 3-0 with a 2.00 ERA in three outings. In 18 innings, he has allowed 17 hits and five walks. He has totaled 10 strikeouts.
Will the Indians shake things up in the rotation? They might as well see what they have in the two veterans. The schedule will again become a bit choppy for the No. 5 starter in the coming weeks. But irregular regimen or not, House has struggled to keep a firm grip on his spot.

only problem with bringing in Marcum, or Chen, is that they're not on the 40 man roster so someone would have to be dfa'd. Taking a look at the roster there actually are no obvious guys to dump. The most likely would have to be a young kid who is a decent although not terrific prospect like AAA reliever Shawn Armstrong, who is having a good year; Ryan Merritt a AA starter of modest skills who had an excellent 2014 but doesn't really project to be a major contributor; or RF Carlos Moncrief who's not having a very good start in his second go around at Columbus.

maybe Tony Wolters IF converted to catcher They like his effort but statistically he's not been impressive as a hitter in AA On other hand if they want to keep him they could DFA Brett Hayes now, call up Wolters as a backup until Gomes returns and then option Tony back without losing control of him
