I'd post this directly, but it's a little too large for the board. Amazing how accurate it is, especially with the first question:

If Spring Training stats matter, or if they don't, the batting avgs for our starting lineup:

Code: Select all

Brantley 200 with no xb hits
ACabrera 409 with 2 doubles, 1 HR
Choo 227 with 2 doubles
Santana 111 with 1 double
Hafner 226 with 1 double
Kearns 308 with 2 doubles
OCabrera 375 with 2 doubles and a triple
LaPorta 156, 3 doubles and a homer
Donald 308 plus 1 double

Indians make some roster moves.

Optioned to Columbus: Rondon (who is hurt and will miss the season), Kluber and Goedert (who got almost no ABs and will likely to DFA sooner or later)

Optioned to Akron: Hagadone and de la Cruz

Returned to minor league camp (not on 40 man roster): Stowell, Pomeranz, Chen.

Might as well have Chisenhall start the season in Cleveland. Donald is a ute at best and the rest are not going anywhere fast. See what he can do

So Sizemore finally plays. Over/under for games played in a Tribe uni in 2011 is 80

It is all about the arbitration clock with LC, just as it was for Santana. He will be up in June. While I do not like it, its probably for the best.

Of course it is. Do you expect the team to be better this year or 5 years from now ? It is a simple answer. Almost every team does it but it seems like the Indians fans just don't get it.

4 home runs for Valbuena. Could've earned the utility job, unless they want him playing everyday in Columbus. Of course, depends now on Asdrubal's injury.

Sad that Valbuena is the power conduit on this team! He really looks like he is passing a kidney stone when he is at bat!

Morning Civ!

Remember Sizemore's option becomes a player option if he is traded so the Indians have until the trading deadline 2012 to maximize his value. Get him healthy, find a grove and trade him....
