Sean Marcum makes a case for starter consideration; 3 2-hit walk free shutout innings.

Charles Brewer makes a case to be DFA'd and make room for Marcum, retiring one of 7 hitters, allowed 6 runs, and saw his ERA escalate to 135.00

No Tribe game tomorrow. Bats got a head start and took today's game off.

Shutout 4-0

fairly crappy outing for Tomlin. 9 hits in 4 innings, some bad baserunning limits the damage to 2 runs.

does he make the bullpen? or does he still have one more option to the minors left?

He still has options.

not that I would care that much if we lost him, but he's handy as a "depth starter"

Up 3-1 midway through a game vs the JoeSox. Bauer surrendered a solo homer, has fanned 4 in his 4 innings.

Murphy in the lineup, is 0-2, avg now at 186. Bradley Zimmer is in the lineup too and he crushed a 2-run homer, tying him with Clint Frazier for the spring, each one more than Raburn or Murphy has managed in way more tries.

?Maybe Kluber, Carrasco and Bauer can match Scherzer, Strasberg and Zimmerman?

Taking a look at Zimmer's major league spring time stats: he's "hit for the cycle" with one each single, double, triple and homer, plus 2 walks and one strikeout. That gives him a slash line of .571/.667/1429.

If Ken takes a look in that those numbers, he'll want him in the opening day Cleveland lineup.

with Raburn and Murphy the alternatives, maybe we all would!

Bauer fans the side in the 6th, retires one more in the 7th and gets the rest of the day off.

Murphy departs going 0-3, batting 182. Zimmer adds a walk to his line and strikes out once.
