KC coming roaring back in the bottom of the 2nd.
Perez got nailed just above the knee....ouch. They were just saying last night the back up catcher is the only guy on the Royals to not get an at bat.
Hudson's gone after tying the game with 2 more on in 2/3 inning.

Tribe wasn't disappointed when the Giants took Madison Bumgarner with the 10th pick in the 2007 draft. They had their eye on Beau Mills all along.

Must be one of those 85 - 90 mph left handed pitchers ! They never work out.
Sea, were you scouting for the Indians ?

If you're 6' 6" and your fastball only tops out in the upper 80s, you probably should be looking for another career.
Bumgarner is 6'5". According to velocity charts throws in the upper 80's.

Baumgarner had a fine regular season but Kluber had a better one. We have our ace to match theirs. Would have been nice to Corey working in the World Series: what Francona have let him come back and pitch 5 innings of relief on two days' rest?
MB 217 IP
CK 235
MB 21 HR allowed
CK 14
MB 194 hits, 43 walks, 1.09 WHIP
CK 207 hits, 51 walks, 1.09 WHIP
MB 219 K; 9.1/IP
CK 269 K; 10.3/IP

Love the guys with ice water in their veins.
Only watched the last 5 innings of the WS and watched Bumgarner blow people away.
Wish it was Kluber.
And by the way ...that wasn't any 88 MPH fastball last night

Spring opener today. McAllister starts followed by a cast of thousands, mostly low rank spring training invitees. On the field, besides Moss and Swisher, rehabbing Kipnis also held out, and Brantley gets the opener off. Lineup features potential outfield help with Ramsay in left, Naquin in center, Holt DH and Murphy in right field.

Game's on. Reds up 1-0 after 2.
The Tigers having a nice day at the plate vs O's; up 15-0 after 7. Joe will be unsurprised that Cespedes hit a grand slam and he did off the famous RH Oliver Drake

Kang also went deep in his first game with the Pirates. Long opposite filed shot to right center.

As usual Tomlin allowed a homer, only one of them, in his 2 innings, but he kept Billy Hamilton from stealing a base. Of course that's because Hamilton is the guy who hit the homer. He allowed a 2nd run in the first, none in the second.
Only repeat starter for the Tribe from game 1 to game 2 is Tyler Holt, yesterday's DH, today's LF. Only regular in the lineup is Michael Bourn. Glad to see Ryan Raburn in action. He and Zach Walters with their usual strikeouts in first ABs. FIrst run of the spring unearned although keyed by Carlos Moncrief double and Roberto Perez sac fly.

House with a perfect 3rd. Lindor and Raburn single but Wlaters and Aguillar leave them there.
I know Aguillar was a big dud in the majors last summer. Did he do anything in ST?
No, he was 0-15 last March. Year before he was 4-12 with a double; entered this spring with a ST career of 12 striekouts in 27 at bats.
He's not under any pressure to perform, still has 2 options remaining, but it would be nice if he started doing something outside of Columbus.

2 perfect innings from overachieving T. J. House
Inconsistent power arm C.C. Lee comes in for the 5th

Moncrief and Lindor each has a couple hits, wait make that 3-3 for Moncrief. Walters 2 strikeouts. MLB.com features videos of leaping grabs by Lindor and Aguillar.
Lee with a perfect inning.
Lefty Nick Maronde with a perfect inning: in his career with the Angels he was either very very good, or he was horrid. A power lefty arm, he fanned 2 of the three he faced.
