Baron- Thanks I checked in for a few moments and saw Aviles was playing CF. Strange.

There is a lefty on the mound tonight so I think Tito is just taking advantage of that to give Brantley a day off after playing 4 games in 3 days in Detroit. Have heard nothing of an injury.

Cabrera left game due to lower back spasms.

HB is correct about Tito giving Brantley a break. I heard him say that on the pregame show on the radio. Brantley was at the ASG of course, so didn't get a break last week.

Pregame Tito said he wanted to give Brantley and Murphy the night off. He could go with Rayburn, Avila, and Swisher, not the greatest defensive players (especially at the same time) but a much smaller ball park to cover. WOuldn't consider it if this was Comerica. Btw on the great (lucky) catch by Avila in center, Rayburn made the same play in left.

Made a hell of a catch out there....would have been routine for Brantley, but still he made it.

5th inning....2 outs....not sure who or how as I was playing words with friends and trying to figure out how to get z onto the triple letter with a real word.

Dickerson still on fire gets a single, then chugs home on a single by Gomes.

Now it's 3-2.

Something happened and Gomes went to 3rd, but Rayburn popped up to end it.

Wonder if we'll have to wait till Dickerson gets up again to score another run.

Wow. They had Kipnis Picked off.....but the throw from the catcher was bad...puts him on 3rd

Damn. Gotta capitalize on those kind of things.

Axford doesn't suck today going 1-2-3 in the 7th.

See if we can't get another one somehow in the top of the 8th, even though they damn near handed us the tying run on a silver platter last inning.

Cabrera likely going on DL. Kid from AAA is coming up to be utility guy with Aviles filling in at SS. Lindor gets promoted to AAA and Gonzalez to AA
