Axford strikes out Jeter.....who jaws at the ump about it becuase he's Jeter....

Axford done for the night.....probably the best I've seen him pitch since the first week of April.

R-Ski in to pitch to McCann....ground out to 1st...2 down.

..and it's finally over. We got a man to 2nd, but didn't score.

Yeah I forgot to post that Kipnis stole second....doesn't matter now though.

I am thinking that with Brantley on Third in the bottom of the 10th, I would try a suicide squeeze. Especially with only 1 out. Whether or not Swisher could put the bat on the ball is another story.

All he had to do is put the bat on the ball, a strike out was the worse. I would have preferred even a double play ball, errors can happen.

I don't think we can count on Swisher or Santana to get more than one clutch hit a week much less in one game. If either of those guys could just put up average numbers, I guarantee the games behind column would look much brighter.

I was pretty surprised by the way we man handled Tanaka a couple of days ago. Now I know why. It sucks. He'll lose his opportunity to pitch in the all-star game. Too bad.

I like this Dickerson guy. He's got a nice swing, a nice approach at the plate plus he's a smooth looking outfielder.

First major league hit for Roberto Perez. We got something going. First and second with no outs. Hopefully we inflict all the damage before Santana bats.
