The way I see it, Carrasco has been nothing but good since moving to the bullpen, including of course last year as well.

I've been baffled by his lack of use by Tito, yet we overuse some of the other guys???

For example, the other night he lifted Masterson early. Good time for someone who can do multiple innings, Carrasco. But noooo.

Hopefully after tonight he will use Carrasco more - here is a fresh arm who can give them length as a bonus. And his stuff "plays" in relief.

I was very impressed with the way Bauer gutted it out, threw 117 pitches and held the lead (the last time we gave him one at least) and with Carrasco's multiple inning save. Carlos' first couple bullpen flings this year were not so good, he cleared the bases of inherited runners a couple times but has excelled since mostly in nonpressure situations.

After Axford's near blowup again on the weekend, Carlos now moves into No. 3 RH role in the pen and Axford drops to 5th spot behind Atchison; with CC Lee or Austin Adams ready to shunt him to the DFA list when one is ready for Cleveland.

Not a very good game on Tuesday. Tomlin is always a risk for the longball and they hit a couple yesterday. Cabrera with another crucial error.

More homers off Lowe and Outman. I would think that the next time we need to call on an emergency reliever from Columbus it will be Pestano [Lowe will be gone in time for McAllister to start on the weekend] who is getting good results although I haven't read about his velocity. And Outman may not make it through the season; although it won't be Hagadone to replace since he flunked yet another opportunity. Scott Barnes a lefty is doing pretty well in Columbus; RH Austin Adams ditto, although neither is setting the world on fire.

Awful offense from RH "sluggers" Swisher [0-4 2k; ops 611] and Raburn [0-3 2k, ops 523 -- still above his amazing 2012 with the Tigers when he ops'd 480]

Hope he doesn't have concussion. he will have to sit out a while.
In case you haven't heard:

CLEVELAND -- Indians left fielder Michael Brantley has been diagnosed with a concussion and will likely be out of the lineup until Saturday.

The concussion was diagnosed when Brantley had tests Tuesday at the Cleveland Clinic. He was injured trying to break up a double play sliding into second base in the third inning Monday.

Brantley was removed from the game and passed an initial concussion test, but was sent to the hospital after experiencing discomfort during his pregame routine Tuesday.

The Indians are hoping they won't have to put Brantley on the seven-day concussion list. Manager Terry Francona said Brantley participated in some activities Wednesday, and Saturday is a realistic day for the outfielder's return.

Brantley is batting .323 and leads the team with 11 home runs and 46 RBIs.

I'm surprised they didn't wait longer, but it's been raining off and on this evening. I guess they didn't want a late game because they have a nooner tomorrow.

And no, it won't be a doubleheader.
