This probably belongs in the Other Teams folder, but from the BA Hot Prospect report today:

18. Jose Tena, SS, Guardians
Team: Triple-A Columbus (International)
Age: 23

Why He’s Here: .407/.429/.593 (11-for-27) 4 R, 1 2B, 2 3B, 3 RBIs, 1 BB, 6 SO, 2 SB.

The Scoop: This is Tena’s farewell to the Guardians, as he was traded to the Nationals in the three-player deal to acquire Lane Thomas. That’s great news for Tena. It was hard to see how he was going to carve out a significant role in the very crowded Guardians infield, but there are more opportunities in D.C., especially at third base in the short term. (JC)

But one of our ?untouchables also makes the list

20. Jaison Chourio, OF, Guardians
Team: Low-A Lynchburg (Carolina)
Age: 19

Why He’s Here: .300/.462/.550 (6-for-20), 4 R, 0 2B, 0 3B, 1 HR, 3 RBIs, 6 BB, 4 SO, 11-for-13 SB

The Scoop: After a strong showing in the Arizona Complex League in 2023, Chourio has put together a fine season at Low-A Lynchburg. This week, he landed on the Hot Sheet less for what he did at the plate than for what he did once he reached base. Namely, he ran wild. The younger brother of Brewers rookie Jackson Chourio swiped 11 bags in 13 tries, giving him 37 this season in 45 tries. He also launched his fourth home run of the season and finished the week with more walks (6) than strikeouts (4), giving him 63 walks against just 55 punchouts all year. He is one of three teenagers who have spent all year in full-season ball with more walks than strikeouts this year. (JN)

Bazzna's first pro big fly was a whopper, a big ol'e granny!

Travis Bazzana has hit the ground running in his introduction to pro ball. Now his debut stint can also be deemed grand.

Playing in his third game for High-A Lake County, the No. 1 pick in the 2024 Draft crushed his first professional home run -- a grand slam en route to a 17-5 rout of Beloit on Wednesday at Classic Auto Group Park.

After striking out and walking twice in his first three plate appearances, the former Oregon State star came up with the bases loaded in the fifth inning. Bazzana worked a full count against left-hander Caleb Wurster (Marlins) before clobbering a middle-middle fastball over the right-center wall.

The Australia native has reached milestones in each of his first three games. On July 26, he picked up his first RBI before collecting his first two hits on July 28. He hit his first homer Wednesday, also picking up his first stolen base and scoring three runs while going 2-for-4 with two walks out of the leadoff spot.

Milestones and long balls are nothing new for the 21-year-old, of course. He set Oregon State career and single-season record for career (45) and single-season (28) home runs this spring.

Petey Halpin has of a sudden developed a home run swing.

considered a good fielding CF

his Akron teammate Milan Tolentino wrapping up a great month.

Captains won the first of 2 17-5 with Bazzana's grand slam, two walks and a single and his first steal
Genao with his 13th High A double; 6th High A homer; and a single; and 4 rbi Overall 324/367/507 27 doubles 10 homers 3 triples. Turned 20 in May.

that DP combo could be Cleveland's a few years. And is why they could trade Tena.

Also Jake Fox single double homer. Ingle single two walks

Now that Clemmey is gone, our top young lefty is Jackson Humphries. So far tonight he's on his game: 4 .1 4 1 1 0 9
His K/IP are not nearly at Clemmey level: 62/53 30 walks in the 62 IP is somewhat better
Like Clemmey he had a difficult start and has been better since:
to start with his 1st game this spring was a doozy: 6 runs and no one retired. So his ERA opened at Infinity. He walked 4 and allowed 2 hits.
Just taking that one night out of the way, and not including today's great work to date, his overall numbers are

49.1 innings
37 hits
17 earned runs
29 walks
53 strikeouts
that makes an ERA of 3.10 WHIP too high 1.34

Much more average sized guy, 6-1 200

12-8 win for the Clippers.
Will Brennan went 4-6 with 3 doubles. I don't expect him to stay there for long. Although not sure who he replaces on the Gs
Brito 15th homer, single, 2 walks
Manzardo double 3 walks
Lavastida 3 doubles; he's up to 270 832 OPS. June+July: 98-28-31-22 12 doubles 5 homers 316/373/590

If they need another reliever: Gose faced 5 fanned 5. 3.29 overall with 55 K in 38 1/3

much better outing by McKenzie; he walked 3 in 6 innings, and we'd prefer none, but he fanned 11 and held them scoreless on 4 hits in 6 innings.

alex Clemmey debut for the Nationals was vs his former team, Lynchburg. He didn't get out of the first inning:
12 of the 33 pitches were strikes; he retired

single walk walk sac fly wild pitch strikeout steal walk good bye

DeLauter has been playing every two or so days. after 3 games in Arizona, he returned to Akron and has played 5 days over the next 9
3 for 4 with 2 doubles his first game; then 3 0 for 4's; after two day break he singled in 4 tries on Saturday. 4-20 total; exactly matching his 200 average for his time on the field in april and one day in may
