The past three games have been the perfect representation of how the Guardians have found their own scrappy ways of winning games this season. First, the team has relied on stellar pitching. During this series, Cleveland walked a total of one batter (including the 11-inning game on Tuesday) by Aaron Civale in his first start back from the injured list in the series opener. After that, no other pitcher -- starter or reliever, which included 11 more arms -- issued a free pass.

Don’t know if anyone else caught this but the telecast discussed the Rule v and how Oscar could have been taken. Andre Knott said that Antonetti and Chernoff heavily hinted they suspected the draft may not be held so they were less worried.

You know this team is hot when they score 10 runs and Jose Rameriz goes 0-5 with 3Ks.

I am worried about Jose. Before the AllStar game Jose was hitting a HR every 17.4 at bats, post it is every 26.3 at bats, He struck out once every 8.9 at bats, and 5.9 at bats post AllStar break. His average has dropped .035 from .288 to .253, Slugging % has dropped .158, and his OPS has dropped .198.

I am thinking that his trying for home runs during the contest caused his swing to deteriorate. He has his far too many pop-ups as opposed to the hard line drives we had become accustomed to seeing. It was painful to watch him at bat yesterday.

Jose is always streaky. And yes there is no doubt he has been expanding the zone.

Every hitter, no matter how good, goes on streaks. We are spoiled UD!

all of a sudden MLB.com is full of stories lauding the Guardians; Tito as obvious manager of the year; team as well established superior at drafting and developing college pitchers; great returns received in the Kluber-Lindor and Clevinger deals. Force other teams to play error-free if they want to beat the Gs; excellent 3 starters, great deep bullpen means it is very hard to rally against. Etc.

Pretty sure I am correct about this. The Guardians will host all 3 wild card games if all 3 are needed.

Right now that would be Seattle but only 1 game separates Seattle and Tampa Bay.

Yes they host all 2 or 3 games

After their troubles with Seattle a few weeks ago I’m rooting for the mariners to beat out one of the East teams

Sorry to report Plesac is scheduled to start Friday
But I hope Morris stays in the rotation too. They can use 6 for the final week and then figure out the playoff roster
I wonder if theyd leave Shaw off the 26 mam roster

Morris to the bullpen; I am sure so will Plesac for the playoffs unless he gets angry and breaks something else
