Joel Sherman of The New York Post reports (on Twitter) that four days ago the Yankees asked the Rockies if they could perform a physical on Jimenez if the two sides came to an agreement on a trade. Colorado refused, to the Yankees backed out.

Very doubtful a deal would be in place and Ubaldo would start.

Colorado telecast says Ubaldo will start the game for the Rockies.

They said a rumor had swept the Rockies clubhouse 30 minutes ago that Ubaldo was officially traded.

So even they are clueless.

So why did the Indians pull their guys?

Maybe the Rockies backed off.

Or else the deal will be finalized during the game and Ubaldo will be pulled out then, ala Pence last night.
