One that got away!!!

Tyler Naquin’s first three weeks in the Queen City produced some incredibly productive results. After Nick Senzel left the first game of the season with a shoulder injury, Naquin was inserted into the starting lineup.

During his first 14 games in a Cincinnati uniform, Naquin hit .260/.345/.640 with six home runs and 18 RBIs. We’re seeing some very similar production over the last four games with the left-handed hitting slugger going 8-for-16 (.500), smacking two doubles, and racking up six RBIs. Naquin is slugging .625 since the All-Star break.

Naquin has been a bright spot all season for the Reds. General manager Nick Krall made the shrewd signing this offseason after Naquin was let go by the Indians. It was assumed that Naquin would fill more of a bench role for Cincinnati this season, but his power-packed production has guaranteed playing time for the former first-round pick.

Naquin’s bat has also forced David Bell to reconsider how to utilize former No. 2 overall pick Nick Senzel when the 26-year-old returns from the IL. It was reported yesterday that there’s a possibility we’ll see Senzel line up at shortstop after the former University of Tennessee product returns from a rehab assignment.

congratulations Tyler.

It hasn't worked for Clint Frazier who's disappointed the Yankees. Hasn't hit well and now he's got an unknown condition:
The latest: Frazier has been undergoing tests since last weekend to determine what exactly is wrong. We’re hearing the preliminary vertigo diagnosis may not have been accurate.

Projected return: Unknown.

Boone update: “I spoke with (Frazier on Wednesday afternoon). He’s at home in New York. He sounded good. He’s continuing to go through a battery of tests, even this week. He saw the neuro ophthalmologist (on Wednesday). We’re trying to leave no stone unturned trying to get to the bottom of this. We are continuing to get encouraging feedback on a lot of the serious things.”

So Kiriloff decides to have wrist surgery the other day to end his season and now the Twins trade Cruz.

Plug officially pulled on the Twins' season.

Not crazy about the name but I'm sure I can live it. Too bad I was hoping to join the Web.

the videos at Indians.com as it is still called are pretty cool. Tom Hanks does a very dramatic narration.

The local relevance of the name are the Guardian statues on the Lorain Carnegie bridge right outside the ballpark.

Gleybar Torres would be a great pickup. His major league tracetory is pretty steep:

2019 age 22 278.337/535
2020 age 23 243/356/368
2021 age 24 242/327/339

the yankees site although informing NY fans that Ramirez is really quite good although not currently a Yankee so probably unknown to them adds the note:

All that being said, the odds of this hypothetical coming to fruition are slim. New York appears to be focused on adding a premier outfielder at the Deadline. Ramírez would create a logjam in an already-crowded infield (if everyone is healthy) while the Yankees' shortstop prospects (to fill in for Torres going forward) are still years away in the minors. Plus, it's been reported that the Indians would need to be completely blown away to ever actually trade Ramírez. Two top prospects and a 24-year-old phenom is quite the return. Would it be enough, though?

No.
the phenom is the kid with the 666 OPS. The top prospects are NY's No. 5 and No. 12
RHP Luis Gil (Yankees No. 5 prospect), OF Kevin Alcantara (No. 12)
