JOEZ just jinxed Ramirez - he got caught stealing 2nd
Give him a little time to learn the major league pitchers JR. He'll be fine.
On another note:
I saw all of jose Ramirez's winter league ballgames from the regular season, through the playoffs, on to the Series del Caribe last year. Ramirez played with three winter league teams last year. The first was his regular season team. He was chosen as a replacement player for the Dominican League playoffs and again for the Series del Caribe. I think that's what Terry Francona was referring to when he said "The game is not going too fast for him. He played a lot of winter ball last year and those games are pretty high intensity, so I think that's a big part of some of our comfort level."
I also saw all of the Akron games this year and all of the games Ramirez has played at the major league level thanks to mlb.com archives. I have never seen Ramirez as aggressive at the plate as he's been in Cleveland. He's swinging much harder than I've ever seen him swing this winter and this summer.
Evidently the coaches are keeping a watchful eye out on him. He is definitely a work in progress.
He's only had 9 major league at bats and he's already put three balls to the wall. I don't think they'll be trading Ramirez at least for another year. Who would have though that Ramirez would have beat Lindor to the major league level?

Tribe has won 9 out of the last 12, and are back to the high water mark of their season, 13 games above .500. What a turnaround from last season!

A win tonight guarantees that we move into one of the two wild card slots, since the Rays and Rangers are playing each other.
