Masterson out of the game after undisclosed injury in the first inning. Tribe down 3-0.

Justin Masterson left Monday's start against the Orioles with soreness on the left side of his rib cage.
Masterson left in the second inning and was charged with one run on one hit and one walk. It sounds like he could be dealing with an oblique injury, which could cause him to miss some time.

Maybe this team is cursed after all :( If changing the logo would break that curse, I'm for it.

On a happier note, this is from Sunday's WIN:

4-3 now, as Perez serves up a fat one to McClouth. Still no outs...

Turn the game back on just in time to see Perez get rocked for a 3 run homer. 4-3. At least no one is on now.

Jimenez has really improved this year.

Jimenez (9-9, 3.95) has a mutual option for 2014 worth $8 million with a $1 million buyout.

Would you pick it up? He has to agree to it, though.

He is not going to agree to it unless there are a few more years added to it. About 3 years for 30+ million.

I would agree to the one year option but nothing past that unless it was for about 8 million a year.

Ubaldo Jimenez held the Orioles scoreless over six innings in Tuesday's 4-3 victory.
Jimenez gave up just four singles, walked two and struck out four. He nearly lost his win after Chris Perez gave up a three-run jack in the ninth, but the closer eventually finished off the win. Jimenez hasn't given up more than three runs in a start since July 14, lowering his ERA to 3.79, which is the lowest it's been since his first outing of the season. He gets the Royals at home next.
