Not as good in the field; but if he hits like in 2019 he has a role, if he hits like in 2020 he's gone

Indians could have made the playoffs this year too if the WhiteSox had brought up minor leaguers in half the games they played us.

this past season will go down as exceedingly forgettable; 60 quick games against Central Division teams; and 2 against the rest of the world.
Team ERA of something wonderful until we played an actual major league team and then 22 runs in 2 games. I consider the stats as phony: e.g. Bieber was wonderful against second rate opposition, how good would he have been vs. the world at large? Maybe very good but I not necessarily Cy worthy.

This could be said about so, so many players this year in certain divisions.

Can I imagine that our woeful hitters were so bad because the limited sample of pitching they faced was among the very best in baseball? That would be nice to believe, but I don't. I think that Mercado was simply dreadful. Lindor had a much sub-standard year. Santana is over the hill. Naylor can only hit Yankee pitching.

According to Jon Heyman of MLB Network, the trade sending Francisco Lindor to the Mets has been agreed on.
Carlos Carrasco is also being sent to Queens, per MLB.com's Mark Feinsand. In return, the Indians will reportedly get shortstop Amed Rosario, young infielder Andres Gimenez, 2019 second-round pick RHP Josh Wolf, and 2020 second-round pick OF Isaiah Greene. Joel Sherman of the New York Post hears that the six-player blockbuster trade will be officially announced around 1 p.m. ET. Stay tuned.

I can only speak for myself, but getting Rosario, Giminez (great SS replacement) and those 3 other pieces are more than I expected.
This is civ territory but those minor league pieces are far from throw ins.

OK, so you beat me to the news; here's another report and then I'll let you what I found on the young guys
NEW YORK -- In by far the boldest stroke of the Steve Cohen era to date, the Mets on Thursday made a trade to acquire All-Star shortstop Francisco Lindor and starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco from the Indians. The six-player deal sends infielders Amed Rosario and Andrés Giménez, pitching prospect Josh Wolf and outfield prospect Isaiah Greene to Cleveland.
Mets get: SS Francisco Lindor, RHP Carlos Carrasco
Indians get: INF Andrés Giménez, INF Amed Rosario, RHP Josh Wolf, OF Isiah Greene
Lindor, 27, is a four-time All-Star, two-time Gold Glover and one of the best all-around players in baseball. He is coming off a down year that saw him hit .258 with eight home runs in a short season, but he averaged 34 homers with a .278 batting average and .856 OPS from 2017-19. Lindor can be a free agent after the season.
Carrasco, 33, was the 2020 American League Comeback Player of the Year, returning from a chronic myeloid leukemia diagnosis to start 12 games for the Indians with a 2.91 ERA.
Those two players transform the dynamics of the Mets’ roster. In Lindor, they now have one of the most dynamic starting shortstops in the game. In Carrasco, they have another proven starter to gel with Jacob deGrom and Marcus Stroman atop the rotation.
Going to Cleveland are Rosario and Giménez, two of the highest-rated prospects the Mets have developed over the past decade. The team once believed it had a budding superstar in Rosario, but he struggled offensively and defensively for much of his first four years in the Majors and lost his starting job to Giménez in 2020. The latter is highly regarded for both his glove and hit tool, batting .263 over 49 games as a rookie.

So should we expect Rosario and Giminez to be our double play combo in 2021?
Quantrill as top candidate for 5th starter with Logan Allen Sr and Scott Moss in competition.
I will post what I find on the pitcher and of all things an outfielder.
