At least we kept the losing streak at 6.....win a few more and this last week will be a bad dream...let's hope it doesn't come back to haunt us at the end.
Dude, no offense.
Just an observation that you seemed more active and virile posting here when you were on active duty.
I certainly understand the comfort and peace of your family that you are not any longer on active duty and under potential fire. I am also glad you are now a well deserved stateside.
I'm currently on vacation, sitting in a hotel room in Dubai until Thursday when I fly to Dublin and meet up with my wife for our long overdue (7+ years) honeymoon for two weeks.
Some jump into the frying pan and into the fire, eh? I can't quickly think of a Canadian city beginning with a ""D.""
Godspeed, Baron, whatever your chosen course. Personally, under THIS President I would do a Monty Python Holy Grail and "run away."

12048The Sox couldn't pin the loss on Scherzer but dropped Detroit 4-3 in extras. Go figure! We came back to pick up a big win against the Twins. Guess what? We're back to 6 games under. There is still a long ways to go. It won't be easy but we are still in a race.

12049If we can just avoid playing the Tigers we might catch them yet. We're back to 6 games under.
Their bullpen is in much worse shape than ours. Otherwise they'd be miles ahead of us. They have the league's best hitter. The league's best pitcher. And Verlander. We don't have anything that matches that top level talent and Detroit has no business having to worry about the Indians.

12050Tigers have big time bullpen problems. Wouldn't surprise me to see them snapping up guys on waiver deals.

We are very much in the wild card race, although it's a crowded field.
