This is the taxi squad?

09/28/20 Cleveland Indians recalled LHP Scott Moss from Indians Alternate Training Site.
09/28/20 Cleveland Indians recalled 1B Bobby Bradley from Indians Alternate Training Site. Remember him? Next year's 1B?
09/28/20 Cleveland Indians recalled LHP Kyle Nelson from Indians Alternate Training Site.
09/28/20 Cleveland Indians recalled CF Bradley Zimmer from Indians Alternate Training Site.
09/28/20 Cleveland Indians recalled C Beau Taylor from Indians Alternate Training Site. Yes, we need a 4th catcher on hand
09/28/20 Cleveland Indians recalled LHP Sam Hentges from Indians Alternate Training Site.
09/28/20 Cleveland Indians recalled RF Daniel Johnson from Indians Alternate Training Site.
09/28/20 Cleveland Indians recalled RHP Jean Carlos Mejia from Indians Alternate Training Site. Can't imagine he's ready for the majors
09/28/20 Cleveland Indians recalled LF Jake Bauers from Indians Alternate Training Site. He still exists?

The Indians web site lists all these guys indistinguishably on the main roster. with 37 names, it's both more than they'll carry and let than the 40 man total that can have on hand. So I don't know what the list actually means. Regardless, it's too late to trade for a real outfielder I'm afraid.

What that little series demonstrated that our stellar pitching was in large part a factor of the limited schedule we played: exclusively Central Division. Not that Bieber wasn't great but there almost should be 3 co-Cy winners, since there were really separate AL leagues this year.
How well would our pitching have held up against a regular schedule? Not with a barely over 3. ERA, that's for certain.

And meanwhile the big bats of the Twins were likewise silenced by non-Central Division pitching.

Kind of like the AL Central was proven to "have no clothes". Remember of our 60 games, 40 percent were against the dreadful Tigers, Pirates and Royals.

Cookie said in an article that he threw the equivalent of 2 innings during the rain. That doomed him.

Say what you will about the game but the grand slam Urshela hit off Karinchak turned out to be insurmountable - though they surely tried.

I know the numbers. But in a game this big, if I could possibly have, I let the veteran Carrasco pitch out of that. After all it wasn't his fault DeShields can't field.

2021:

c Perez and Hedges
1b Bradley or Bauers
2b Hernandez I hope
ss Maybe a one year fillin in the Lindor deal; I don't think Tyler Freeman is ready unless he had a big summer in Eastlake; or Chang?
3b: MVP
lf; Naylor
cf: Preferably the guy we get for Lindor Otherwise? Zimmer? aka Naquin Jr. well not quite, he similarly cannot hit, strikes out most of the time and runs into walls, but can play CF, walks a bunch and can run
rf: I'd let Luplow play regularly; he has shown he can get big hits vs RH; backed up by Johnson
dh: Reyes

P: Bieber, Plesac, Carrrasco I guess, Civale, McKenzie, or maybe Allen or Moss
Bullpen: Karinchak and a lot of other guys; did Hentges show any progress? Kyle Nelson will get another look; Is Sandlin ready?
