thanks guys. One request however: Joe, could you remove your political comment from your tag line. I may agree with your point of view or maybe I don't but please lets keep politics out of the foreground of the forum.

Zimmer two errors in the last two games, one a kind of dopey throw. I like to hope he's putting his problems behind him, but he still has a job to lose when rosters are cut and Naquin comes back.

So we know that the 2016 draft yielded 3/5 of our star rotation:
Round 4 Beiber
Round 3 Civale
Round 12: Plesac
But that draft has also been used to acquire lots of other talent some for short term some for long term:
Round 10 Samad Taylor [and Thomas Pannone] for Joe Smith
Round 30 Ryder Ryan for Jay Bruce
Round 5 Connor Capel [and higher ceiling prospect Jhon Torres] for Orlando Mercado
Potential future star or at least regular 3B Nolan Jones was Round 2 pick.
So even though 1st round pick Will Benson is making slow progress while struggling to hit 200; and 2nd round pick Logan Ice is a fine catching non hitting catcher, this stacks up as a Superior Draft class

Mr. Smile is anything but smiling these days. He sure does not look like he is having fun, but has one foot out the door. I would not be surprised if when he gets traded the whole team will pick up the slack.

Betts may have got his contract !
Might be the reason for the lack of the "smile".

I could equally imagine if he gets traded the rest of the team gives up the ghost

Top of the order isn't the problem but can't hurt to stir those 4 around.
The next 5 are disaster zone. 3 OFs, DH and C are hitting collectively not much of anything

Plezac and now Clevinger caught sneaking out of their hotel rooms while on the road. Why would anyone expect a bunch of 20 something millionaires
to stay in their rooms after games on the road.....because they said they would??? LoL.
I can see this season melting down fast.

What a surprise to find out Clevinger and Plesac have the same deficiency
as the Scarecrow from Oz.
