Good 1st inning for Danny Salazar.

CABRERA!!!

Unlike Trevor Bauer, Salazar does NOT start his first game by walking four in a row. He gets two ground outs and a strikeout in the first. Asdrubal homers in the bottom of the inning for a 1=0 Tribe lead.

All Salazar does in the second inning is strike out the side.

Too bad the bullpen is probably going to blow this for Danny

I didn't know there was a game on this early! I'll see if I can get the audio

Tribe leaves 5 on base in the first 2 innings. Don't want to make this easy for the rookie pitcher.

Salazar is not perfect. Walks the lead hitter in the 3rd, who steals second, and Danny sets down the next 3 without the runner advancing. He has 5 strikeouts in 3 innings.

I wonder what remarkably unique method he has developed for his pregame warmups that he has learned from his study of physics? Perhaps he can pass some of his approach on to Bauer --- oops sorry I forgot Trevor does not listen to others

I like Salazar he has Carrasco speed without, so far, Carrasco's mentality.

59 pitches for Salazar's 4 no hit innings. His allowable pitch count is about 85 so he could get 2 more innings before the Sons of Darkness enter the fray from the bullpen

Shutout and no hitter end in the 6th. Tied at one. Still, a very impressive debut.

If Salazar is on a pitch count due to surgery why not let him work out of the bullpen,we can sure use the help.
